Drop component.xml for components key / val in YAML

In my opinion, the use of component.xml is redundant given the existence of the declarative YAML syntax. I'd love if we could have a new components key / val in YAML and drop component.xml entirely. It makes packaging simpler and offers the potential of more flexibility if we use YAML lists.
