Nedis Smart Plug asks for IP

I have a Nedis smart plug that is nicely detected by the tuya addon after I registered it with my smart life app. In OpenHAB it still remains in "Config Pending" state as it does not get an IP. I can not find it's mac on my router but I can control it with the app. Any ideas how to proceed?
The Tuya Switch was registered to my "web and phone" router, not my IOT router. Once this was cleared autodiscover worked flawlessly.
