Welcome to the awesome-scifi Reading Group. Here, we read a book a month. We vote at the end of the month for the next book; for February, the book is:

Pattern Recognition by William Gibson.

Pattern Recognition

When: By February 28th.
Where: Comment here! Either anything you think is good or worth noting. Try to avoid spoilers unless we're all at that point. Subscribe to this issue if you're reading. At the end of the month, let's have a conversation here about how the book was. This is all new.
How: Buy the book or borrow it from a library.

With a quick google search I discovered the PDF.

William Gibson is still alive - see website. If you can, buy the book there to give him more money.

Thanks for the tweet inviting to join. I was looking for a nice sci-fi book to read.

Started it! Have you guys gotten it yet?

Purchased on my Kindle around 10 days ago. Been busy with work but currently about 23% complete. Really liking it so far.

Hey guys when do we want start our conversation? 2/28? 3/1?

Whenever works. I'm not done yet, will be soon. :)

Are we going use Google Hangouts or something like Gitter for the discussion? IRC?

Hey! Oh man, dropping the ball here. Gitter makes a lot of sense! Let's open one and move there. Should keep chatter out of this channel.

Awesome, full disclosure I'm finishing the book tonight. I'll jump on once I'm done to avoid spoilers.

We've read (or mostly (or a tiny bit)) this. We discussed it on Gitter. Closing this. \o/
