Loading a save location failed

Describe the bug
I have this issue in my desktop computer (Windows 11), but not in my laptop (also Windows 11). But they have generally the same configuration.

May I ask what could cause such problem? I have no idea what to do to fix it.

Hi there, unfortunately this is a Windows bug introduced in Windows 10 and still present in Windows 11. On some PCs (a very small percentage) Scanner is unable to access any folders unless the user explicitly selects one. Once the app is closed, all folder permissions are lost again.

There seems to be no fix apart from reinstalling Windows entirely. I'd recommend using an alternative scanning software instead.

Thanks for the advice. I probably will try to reinstall my windows instead. I agree that there is something wrong with my current windows 11 too because even the Scan app provided by Microsoft itself has the same issue.

I just did a clean install of Windows 11 yesterday. And I can confirm that the issue is gone. I really wonder why.
