Does not work properly in MacOS 12.1 / zsh

It displays garbage in the terminal window instead of the progress. Not sure what kind of settings are missing or not compatible with this tool. Tried in iTerm and regular Terminal app with the same success. See the screenshot
It's art. I love it.
