Blank Messages

I notice that if you just press space bar one or more times and send. The message is blank. I don't think it should let you send message's with no charterers
Yes, it is possible to send blank messages if you add a space (more intentional than just hitting enter with no character). What is the reason for disallowing blank messages at all? A lot of other chat rooms let you do it (e.g. IRC)
Closing for now but we can re-open if we come up with a great reason. :)
