The color is not what I expected (background color is not #2E3440)

On the left is neovim and on the right is alacritty with the nord theme set.
I was expecting the same colors as on the right, but they are not what I expected.
Also, the example image included in the README.md of the actual nord.nvim is similar to the colors on the right. However, my nvim shows the colors on the left.
How do I fix this?
This was an issue with alacritty and tmux not having truecolor applied.
I fixed it with the guide below.
