Thyristor Behavior in FALSTAD Circuit Simulator

Hello.
A circuit simulated OK in FALSTAD Simulator, but never worked in real life.
Reasons were that the Simulator had the following wrong for a Thyristor (SCR) :

  1. dV/dT false triggerring is not accounted for by the Simulator. In real life the SCR actually fires.
  2. Minimum Holding Current is not accounted for by the Simulator : a Thyristor with a short across A and K and a Gate trigger current pulse applied will latch (fire the SCR) in the Simulator, but will not latch in real life, due to the fact that there is a minimum value for the Holding Current, and with a short across A and K the current through the SCR will be Zero, and accordingly will not latch.
