Autonumber column type or forumula option?

Hi, not sure if this is a feature request or if it already exists (haven't been able to figure out how). Is there a way either by setting a column type or using a formula to achieve a simple autonumber for rows? The idea is that a column would automatically number a row incrementally.
The feature will be available in the next version 1.3.
1.3 is available.
