Esc not working

I downloaded .ext on Windows 8.1. Shows active under Tools. Esc doesn't seem to work. How to get out of input mode and into movement mode?
Thank you. This is a dream come true when I get it working.

Hi, I don't run Windows, so I'm not sure if I can reproduce what you're going through. Are you sure the extension is running? Have you tried Tools -> Add-Ons -> vibreoffice ?
This extension is still a work in progress, but I'm glad you're excited about it!

Same issue here with Libreoffice 4.4.5.2, on Linux 4.1.5-1-ARCH.
The extension is enabled in Tools->EXtension_Manager.

I have the same issue with Libreoffice 4.2.8.2 and ubuntu 14.04
Just to be sure: the esc button should switch to the command mode as in vim?

Same issue here with Libre Office 4.4.5.2, on Arch. I don't know how to escape Insert mode... and I'm really eager to see this plugin work!

It appears that esc is not needed. I was just able to do movement commands followed by change commands without switching modes in any way. Cool!

When I use h/j/k/l, or any other normal mode key, it just prints the letters; so I guess there should be something to go out of insert mode...

My previous statement was plain wrong. This sequence works for me. ww i "test" bb. So I did use escape to get out of insert mode. I'm now in Windows 10.

Can't get into normal mode either, Ubuntu 14.04, LibreOffice Version: 4.2.8.2
Build ID: 420m0(Build:2)

EDIT:
So, after restarting LibreOffice and clicking Tools>Addons>vibreoffice - Toggle Vi Mode, it works now.

I think my problem was that I hadn't closed my spreadsheet. I'm using Windows 10.
Now if I close everything and then open a window and click on Toggle Vi Mode as above and it works.
I have two problems.
The problem is I can't get it to work on any other LibreOffice windows.
The second is that when I click on the Toggle Vi Mode it just switches between insert and overwrite mode. It won't take me back to normal OpenOffice. It just put me in an overwrite mode, but once I got to the end of the line I couldn't move.

@flyingfisch thanks, didn't know about the "toggle vi mode" button. it works now. (should have read the README... shame on me)

No problem :)
