I'm running into this as well. It'll start a video, immediately pause, then skip to the next video. After 2-3 of these it'll then play whatever is in the queue all the way through before repeating.

I am running into the same issue when I used safari on my Mac, but after I downloaded Chrome and used scrimba here and no more issues are found, I think it should be a browser capability issue. Just use Chrome for learning on this website before it gets fixed I guess
