Organise our examples better

Our examples directory is mostly organised by where we got them. Some are from shoes3. We have several different "good" and "expert" directories with -- often the same -- examples, gotten from here and there, maybe with some files renamed.
We built a tool called Highlander in the examples directory to find duplicate files and optionally "git rm" them. But we didn't actually get rid of all the duplicates, partly to make Highlander more interesting to run :-)
Still, it would be good to organise this stuff better. Get rid of duplicates and near-dups. Leave the "working" under "working" and the not-working under "not_checked", but come up with a more sensible directory structure for both.
