Install.php/Bans.php issue

Trying to update my existing install, when I run the install.php file I get this error:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting T_CONSTANT_ENCAPSED_STRING or '(' in /home1/jaymb/treechan/inc/bans.php on line 7

Any help? My board is screwed until this gets fixed.
