BUG: FindVariableFeatures didnt work on my PCs

Issue Description
Hi，i had some trouble with analysis of some data with seurat v4 and v5.0.3
I found that seurat v5.1.0 and didnt work with seurat v5.0.3 and all seurat v4
I install seurat through conda and this is the session information
When I run findvaribalefeatures the second step seems to use nearly all my cores and stuck there
The most weird thing is I do the same job in my laptop with the exact same version of ubuntu and R and so on ,and that works well, but my laptop is inferior to my PCs, so I'm willing to figure out the reason.
Another information is When I spilit object, it can still works.

If the issue is affecting multiple versions of Seurat and is isolated to a single machine, then the problem is probably not with Seurat.
