windows testing infrastructure

I don't have a windows VM to test on, so most of my attempts at windows compatibility are based on guesswork and documentation. Although there is no reason vex should not be able to work in windows, compatibility is likely to be fragile without regular testing.

I don't know of any unencumbered windows VMs to use; EC2 works OK but it's very time consuming to set up a box over RDP and I'm out of pocket to pay for the largish EBS volume windows requires.

Maybe the best solution would be in some third-party testing service, perhaps Travis?
