Unable to open folder in Mac

I have the lite binary at $HOME/lite/lite and call it from a different folder via lite ($PATH container $HOME/lite/lite).
I am unable to open a project using lite /path/to/dir. The lite shows, but it does not contain any folders. Please let me know if I have to open a project in a different way.
I think it worked, it just took very long. Closing this issue.
