Changelog for new release

We need to create a changelog for all the features/fixes that have been implemented since the last 1.2.2 release. The next version is going to be 1.3.0
Please update when the same is documented so that we can start with the QA phase.
@abhishekfdd Can you please add the update for PHP8.0 compatibility as well to the changelog?
