It would be extremely useful if configuration values (especially "cmd_ssh", "cmd_rsync", and "ssh_args") could be passed forward to a command run using backup_script using environment variables such as $RSNAPSHOT_cmd_ssh or something. Would make writing scripts that do remote connections much simpler, since I wouldn't have to duplicate parts of my configuration, and could more easily use the same scripts in multiple rsnapshot configuration files without worrying about them trying to use the wrong SSH identify file, for example.
