Show scale on saved image

To use the saved maps for search and rescue purposes, we need the scale on the saved image to be displayed, for the plugin edgescalebar this is working, but for the plug-in betterscale it is not, as this one is declared as a control. Unfortunately I wasn't able to adapt that plugin to be displayed as a layer.
That's why I would need a feature to remove all controls such as zoom controls or controls of leaflet draw but the scale bar should be visible.
Can anyone help for this?
