- fetch data from diff. wikipedias (commons, species, wikidata, etc.)
- fetch certain types of taxonomic data: common names, taxonomic names, etc.
- get wikipedia/commons/etc. IDs if any (maybe they use names as IDs?)
- get taxonomic hierarchy
- search by taxonomic name
- search by common name
anything else?
