Nothing shows up in Get Key dropdown

I want to use DRC Sim to fix my wifi on the Wii U so I can use the internet, launch Mocha CFW, and play smash and also set Mocha to autoboot so I dont have to do the thing in the browser anymore. But in the dropdown menu for Get Key, there isnt anything. I already saw the other posts about this issue and I know its recommended to use a USB wifi adapter, but I don't have one and I dont wanna have to buy one (im saving for the switch). So is there any way to connect the built in wifi adapter as a USB one so I can use it with DRC Sim? Btw I am using VirtualBox because I dont wanna dual boot.

Through a VM, the internal adapter will not work. Running a Linux distro natively, there is a high chance it will not work.

Wait... I'm confused. Are you saying that it won't work if I use a VM but it also wont work if I natively run Linux? And if so, is there any way to do this without spending money?

The problem is the internal wireless interface. It will not work in a VM and unless it supports promiscuous mode, 5GHz, and 802.11n will not work in any configuration.

Well, today it's 2023, would be useful and we do have 5GHz, so how? I will tell you even the Wii U Interface dropdown is emtpy, but I am running it on WSL

Windows does not support the features needed for this software which is why there is no windows version
Running it through wsl will just give it the same wireless features as windows and it will not work
You need a actual Linux install to use this software

That's using VMware and installing Ubuntu and then forwarding their WiFi adapter which will work as VMware runs the full system inside Windows
But it will NOT work under wsl as it's NOT a full installation of Ubuntu and will just run from the regular WiFi drivers which won't work because drc SIM can't support windows WiFi drivers they do not have the needed features

im not at all trying to fight with you, more so trying to understand how its impossible when this dude is doing it on video, and a lot of people in the comments seemingly pleased with the results. even to the point when he made the video he was helping troubleshoot.

He isn't doing it, im not trying to fight but VMware and wsl work completely differently even tho they both run Linux

You sent me a video of him running it in VMware, it's possible there but not on wsl because of driver issues and you can't forward your WiFi as far as i know which is required for this to function
