Why my own repo doesn't show on my contributions?

I follow the instructions from here https://help.github.com/articles/why-are-my-contributions-not-showing-up-on-my-profile/ but it still doesn't work.
OK. The tricks is to create new issue on that repo. Is this the correct way? never mind :)
