Having issues changing email

Steps to reproduce
- Click on "Change your email" under the email input box on your profile
- Enter a new email address.
- Click on "Update my email".
- "You have been logged out" appears in bottom left corner.
- No log out happens, though the page does get refreshed.
- Email isn't changed
- Manually log out, and new email doesn't work to log in, old email still works to log in
