Database Error

Whilst following the second video I got an error, this is what happen when I tried to connect to phpmyadmin
I can't seem to fix it and by the looks of it other people who watched the video had the same problem.
Because in the video they assume you have your database configured with:
login
root
password
root
Change the /var/www/applications/config/database.php
to your values
Also the /var/www/pb/applications/config/database.php
