Only count words around the link in additional resources

The way that newdoc identifies words in additional resources is somewhat primitive, it just looks for white space. An issue with that is that newdoc should never count the words in a link or xref label, only the words around the link, and possibly the whole link, including the label, as one word.
For example:
* The link:https://exampe.org[An example website] page
- Currently counted as 5 words
- Actually should be counted as 2 or 3 words
The newdoc validation is now deprecated in favor of the enki tool, so I'm closing this issue.
