Tile Cache lacks detail functionality

Hi,

The Tile Cache seems to lack the same functionality as in the uncached tiled demo. That demo will create a detail mesh that conforms to the height field. The tile cache creates very coarse tiles and won't create a detail mesh.

Is this incomplete or by design? If by design, why?
