Are media overlays supported..?

Hey folks! I cannot express how excited I am that Readium exists: thank you for building this wonderful architecture in the open and contributing to awesome standards like EPUB!

I was poking around, trying to understand how I might use Readium with ebooks with Media Overlays when I found this deprecation message from several years ago:

@available(*, unavailable, message: "The media overlay API was only half implemented and will be refactored later")
. Before I get too much further into the weeds, I figured I should ask: does Readium Mobile currently support Media Overlays?

Thanks again!

Hi @smores. Unfortunately it's not yet available, but we plan to add the support for Media Overlays this year. Probably first in the Kotlin toolkit. There are some on-going discussions regarding the specification here: readium/architecture#181

Thanks @mickael-menu! Exciting that it's on the way! I'll read through that proposal; at first glance, the higher level Guided Navigation API looks awesome.

If there's anything I can do to support you all or participate in conversations about Guided Navigation/Media Overlays, please let me know!
