Decide on subdomain

Should it be ja (lang code) or jp (country)?
As far as Japanese is concerned, they are almost the same, and whichever is fine to me. Perhaps Chinese and Portuguese users have some specific opinions.
On second thought, perhaps we should follow the convention of Wikipedia and primarily use the language-based subdomain. We can use country code only when necessary, i.e., ja, zh-cn, zh-tw, etc.
In general, it should be ja.
I think ja is also preferable.
I agree with others. It should be language code(ja).
