Is there a way do auto-discard an active tab?

I'd like to discard the active tab under one of two conditions:

The browser (Firefox) loses focus for some number of minutes.
The computer goes to screen saver / lockscreen.

I don't believe this is default behavior. Is this possible through some combination of settings?
