I assume that we're seeing the resurfacing of the problem that motivated this patch #1056 (https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/716869), however, it may be caused by something else, such as a security prompt for modifying other applications.

  • We may decide to detect that we're running in a GitHub CI and skip these steps
  • We should find a way to get the debug logs from our installer while running in CI #1150
