quasar dev not compiling anymore

Since installing the extension compiling in SPA mode as part of quasar dev randomly freezes at [0%].
Important to note is that so far I have only written a test in typescript. None of the other code is in TS.
I would love to upload a screenshot but github seems to be broken right now.
Closing due to inactivity and lack of context, please try the new starter kit TypeScript option
