Remaped swaped ctrl <--> alt key don't work as hot-key

I have remapped my left ctrl and alt key to work like that of mac keys. However this remaped keys don't work as hot-key and I have to use ctrl (actual control key on keyboard) + D to trigger the Mutate.
Is there anyway that I can make my remapped keys to trigger Mutate.
Update: I opened the preference window and remapped the hot-key again. This time it saved the configuration. For some reason the default mapped keys didn't work and I had to re-setup it manually again.
Closing this issue as I already solved my problem.
