Hi,
Nice module. I'd just like to point out that there is another pure Lua module out there (for string processing, too) named strong, maintained by @BlackBulletIV. Maybe you should rename this ?

My library doesn't define any variable strong but rather injects itself into string, so it's not a critical problem (not that you'd want to use the two together anyway, from what I've seen).
Michael, apologies for not doing my homework, Roland, thank you for the report.
My library can also, optionally, inject itself in string, and I prefer to avoid naming collisions.
What about strung.lua?
I couldn't find anything called "strung", and went ahead.
