Customization tutorial?

I'm guessing this has been indirectly asked already but I would love to be able to change the colors of certain things like all the blue in the border etc. I managed to find the border settings because I did it before with metro, but I couldn't find a way to edit the colors. I tried changing the color in the customs.styles file by the focus part but that didn't work. It would be really nice if you could maybe make a tutorial section for the somewhat "easy" things.
