Prismatik, screen capture, stops working after a while. LEDs no longer change color. (Windows)

CainStar opened this issue · comments

As the topic says, while playing any game, prismatik works as it should, but after a while, under an hour, the leds no longer change color. Turning off the leds from prismatik does nothing. Only if I close prismatik, and turn off my monitor for a few seconds, does the leds actual turn off. If I then restart prismatik the leds start working again, but they stop working even sooner than on the initial start. If I try restarting the prismatik, while the leds "static" meaning they stopped changing, prismatiks icon in the 'show hidden icons' tool bar turns into red circle, or a "cancel" icon. If I hower my mouse over it, it says that there is no connection. It almost seems like some sort of memory gets filled, and that is why the program, or the screen capture, stops working.

I am using the Prismatik 64-bit Windows versio, with the latest drivers, update, etc., and Prismatik has admin privilegeds.

Anybody got any idea how fix this issue?

Was I not clear on my topic, in the description, do I need input more information since nobody has replied?

If it only recovers after turning off your monitor (which is cutting power to the device?) it might be related to the device.

Have you tried (a) a lower capture rate and (b) a lower baud rate (if applicable)?

If the icon changes to the error icon, Prismatik can't talk to the device. Check the log in C:\Users\you\Prismatik\Logs for error messages (you may need to run on logging first under Expert settings)

I will try lowering the capture rate and baud rate. I tried attaching the log file but it is 40MB so it can't be uploaded here. If somebody wants to take look at the log file, I can send it to you by email, or I can copy paste parts of it here. I don't think copy pasting 40MB log file here is really smart as there is A LOT of info in it.

With drag and drop you can upload a larger file to github (click the "attach files below the text box).

You don't need to set a very high level. 1 or 2 should be enough for error logs. Level 3 logs get big very fast.

I have same problem. A few minutes later or any action on my PC such as when I want to do fullscreen any app, or run a game, prismatik stops to change color of leds.

i have the same problem too.

anyone fixed this?

Sorry for not responding but I do not use GitHub much. Anyway the problem, at least for me, only happened with Ubisoft games so go figure.......
