Editing existing event changes status to draft

Describe the bug
With the new events manager version, when you edit an existing event, it saves but the status changes to draft. You then need to publish the draft to publish the changes. Editing and then updating a published event should stay published.
To reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
- Create new event
- Edit event
- Publish
- Edit event
- Update
- Pages loads and "Update" button changes to "publish" because the previously published event becomes a draft with the edit.
- Can publish by then selecting publish
Expected behavior
If you edit a published event, it should remain published.
Screenshots
If applicable, add screenshots to help explain your problem.

Additional context
I thought it could be related to #2553 but I'm not getting the draft issue on https://presentation-ca.proudcity.com/event/test-event/ that also doesn't have the google maps api.
I also tested on another Cloudflare customer Rye Brook and that was fine.

@kevindherman I don't see how to make it do this. I've tested a clean WP install, beta and on Petaluma. You can see what I did in the video below.

I was logged in as an Admin, were you support or...?
@curtismchale thanks for the video. I was experiencing this yesterday but after watching your video, tried again as support@ on the live site and was fine too. I'll try again
Could it be a multiple pod thing?
I'll try again later to see if it happens again or not.
@kevindherman it shouldn't be a multiple pod thing.
