Hi,
I've an issue with TorChat (torchat-0.9.9.553) on Ubuntu 14.04.
I try to lauch, but I've this error :

Something, probably another TorChat instance, is already listening at 127.0.0.1:11009. You must create another profile using different ports to be able to start TorChat a second time.

It seems there's the port in already in use (with sh), indeed, see below :

tcp 0 0 127.0.0.1:11009 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN 1000 4674630 31143/sh
tcp 0 0 127.0.0.1:11109 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN 1000 4674635 31145/tor

How can I fix this please ?

Thanks
Regards.

Recent versions of ubuntu have switched the way they do notifications, and this results in torchat just vanishing from sight if you close the window. I was never able figure out how to kill the process for torchat (allowing you to start it again if you do accidentally close the window - I could kill tor, but that did not fix the torchat issue). Restarting ubuntu will work, of course.

You can also do some research on how to get the old notification style working again - I did it once, but then accidentally killed the VM that had it working. It was difficult enough that I have not bothered again, instead just being careful to never close all torchat windows. It can be done though with 14.04 as a starting point.

Hi,
If I lauch the "Tor Browser" before TorChat, I dont' have the error.

But, I don't see Torchat (in the notifications area). I figured out.
