Burning Daylight crashes upon injection

Burning Daylight is a free game on Steam. After removing the Oculus and OpenVR plugins and setting -nohmd in properties, the game starts fine, but injecting with the latest UEVR (recent nightly build 846 (3b20644)) the injector stalls for a short while, and then the game crashes.
My specs are
CPU -10900k
GPU - 3090
32gb Ram
Windows 10
HMD Quest 3 using Virtual Desktop with VDXR runtime
