Respect system's theme

I cannot seem to be able to make it respect the system's theme. Should I simply select "auto" in the settings? Cheers!
Theme means dark or light or the gtk theme?
The system's theme. QT or GTK. XFCE, what I use for example, uses GTK. I change the system's themes in XFCE's settings and I expect all applications to use that theme. And it does for like 98% of them all. But not for this one. And I was wondering why.
