Considering its been 3 months since the last crates.io release of the comic-text library isn't it about time for the release of 0.10.0?
Apparently, utilizing libraries like iced can not show fonts if using certain Linux distros in combination with version 0.9.0.
This issue seems to be fixed with the current main branch
cosmic-text 0.10.0 has been released: https://github.com/pop-os/cosmic-text/releases/tag/0.10.0
