It seems the icon repo is now here: https://github.com/kubernetes/community/tree/master/icons
I've made a first attempt at a script to automate the process of updating all sprites, generated from the new source.

Currently, everything seems to work, but sprites are not yet generated at 25% and 50%. Only at 100% (full) size.
More news will follow if/when I find the time to complete this final missing feature.
