Unlocking of the iPhone 2G with 2.0 dind't work for me.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
I followed all the steps on creating Custom restore file all the way to 
restoring it in iTunes. But I was keep getting Error (6)
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?


What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Ditto, but then I finally got it.  It's all about the timing, with respect to 
getting into DFU mode.  In DFU mode, the 
screen is blank; it's not the same as having the iPhone showing the USB cable.  
I kept getting .... error (6) and 
kept trying and finally got it.  Memorize/write down the keypress sequence and 
timing and follow it; don't use 
the screen prompts if you start off out of sync due to turning it off too 
slowly.  If you want to email me, put 
"spam" in the subject <sic> to bypass my filters.
