Unable to build pixie-stirling

Hi, I'm trying to build pixie's stirling module, but I'm facing this error.
I checked the source repo for the same https://github.com/fmeum/rules_meta/blob/main/meta/internal/forwarding.bzl but could not comprehend anything. Any suggestions or help would be appreciated.
I'm using an ubuntu 22 on an x86 EC2.
I tried the same on a mac m1, and recieved a different error.
