Script throws out an error message, no desktop shortcut created

Hiya, so I followed this guide to get Vortex working on Deck (i'm a coding idiot) and it all went well, but when I launched steam deck tools link was when I got stuck. Apparently the whole operation is a "Success" and the script shuts itself down after 3 seconds, but right before that it spews out an error "cannot create directory '/run/media/mmcblk0p1': Permission Denied. When I went to check onto my desktop, all I could find was "Update Pikdum's Tools" and "Install Vortex", when I tried to install it the terminal windows would do something and just stay open. Am I doing something wrong? Doesn't seem to be right.
I'm an idiot, was supposed to let Vortex Install file do its thing, in my defense I saw no indication of it doing anything. Sorry!
