i think it has something to do with these couple errors i get running skyrim deployment:
mkdir: cannot create directory '/run/media/mmcblk0p1' Permission denied
and further in it says my compat folder for skyrim doesn't exist?
Can you add some more context and the entire log?
Not Easily no, the box closes in about 3 milliseconds when i open the thing, i managed to screenshot it, but i don't know how to upload things on github? i'm so new to using it i literally made this account to ask for help.
i think ixll try reinstalling? itxs not like my mod list is huge

The Skyrim Post-Deploy shortcut is only for SE/AE.

also i'm really glad you explain things, so many linux coders i've come across just expect you to naturally infer the code from small clues, and having never even opened a DOS tab before i'm not exactly competent in these fields, i know a bit of java for modding stardew valley, but that its the limit of my ability
Logs look fine to me. The permission denied piece is just because you have Skyrim installed on internal storage instead of on SD card, which is fine.
What issue are you having exactly with FNIS or Bodyslide?
Should be able to add them through Vortex, they'll show up as tools, and you can launch them:

If you use the Vortex download button, it'll happen automatically. Heard from some people that it's not working without premium, though.
Otherwise, you'll want to download the .zip files and use the 'Install from File' option inside of Vortex.
Generally don't want to do things manually, only through the mod manager.
