Splashscreen no longer works in cli-6.5.0 (Builder 1)

No splash screen and no spinner when using Phonegap Build cli-6.5.0 (builder 1) since last few days. However splash screen from same config works in builder 2. Please help.

Same issue here. iOS works, Android is missing a splash screen on start. cli-6.5.0.
EDIT:
Did some testing and tried almost every CLI and every cordova-android version with the same results. Only exception was CLI 8.0, which doesn't even want to build and fails with empty log.
Tested with APP ID: 2448603
Can't it be due to the fact that the file structure has changed for Android in 8.0.0 and the latest version of this plugin has been adapted to it? I have the same issue with 7.1.0.
Doesn't e.g. 5.0.0 of the plugin work with 6.5.0 (or better yet 7.1.0)?

@andersborgabiro I tried most of the older versions too, they all fail. As my old config was failing on build. I completely rebuilt the config on the base of this: https://github.com/wizajay/zibapp-pgb-tester/blob/master/config.xml
I managed to upgrade almost everything. Some outdated plugins just prevent me from adding images to /res/drawables on Android now, but I can live with that and wait for them to be fixed.
The PGB team has to explain the consequences of moving to 8.0.0.
I've so far been relatively successful, with 15 or so apps migrated to 8.0.0, but I might (through sheer luck) navigate around the plugins that have problems.

Since cli 8.0.0 appeared on PGB, cli 6.50 apps build but with several Android & iOS icon issues. Without icons we can't release app updates!
