Add thumbnail support for posts

Adding thumbnails via the featured image section is currently not supported by our custom image fetching code.
oh this is nice and simple to implement i can take care of
though again -- make sure you keep in mind why, and make every effort to not overcomplicate things. Is there a way to do what you want without changing the code? i.e., can you insert a static image that would be reasonable to be inline in the article? If that doesn't make sense, is there a better static image to use? Restricting thumbnails to images that are actually in the article is intended to simplify both production workflow and UX.
