Currently pgvector has tags for new versions but there are no releases.

A user might be interested in getting notification when there's a new version. Github provides an option to be notified for new releases.

Here's an example of another postgres extension that uses releases.

Hi @BillSmith-EDB, I'd prefer to stick with only tags for now, but may revisit in the future. fwiw, you can get an Atom feed here: https://github.com/pgvector/pgvector/releases.atom

@ankane just wanted to point out that using Releases, you still use tags. As part of creating a new release, you have the option of creating a new tag or using an existing one. I realize that there's a bit more work as you would want to describe the release but maybe that's just copying/pasting lines from the changelog.
