Can I use pGina to create a pass through cred provider?

I am wondering if pGINA can be used to capture user name and password without affecting login ui. Basically a pass through cred provider that captures user name and password after user is authenticated by Microsoft default cred provider.
Can pGINA capture MSA account credentials (i.e. Live accounts)?
