Implement the emoji short cut

alexjyong opened this issue · comments

On macOS, control+command+space bar brings up an emoji menu that's super useful. This would be awesome in this.
Also on macOS the shortcut for a trademark symbol is option +2 if I'm not mistaken. Any way to get that implemented and similar shortcuts here?

So I dug around and I found this:
https://github.com/tom-james-watson/Emote

Might be worth mentioning in the readme. I can make a PR for that at the bare min.

Wow I can't read. I just saw an emoji section in the post install notes. Does smile have any advantage over emote?

Hey Alex, thank you for bringing this up. I did not use Emote and never tried it. However if you test it and make sure it works well - feel free to issue a PR with README updates. Thank you! As of now I'm closing this issue.
